Community First Real Estate

1824 E Main Street Suite M

As a native of Greenville, SC, I spent 42 years living on the property that had been in my family for over 80 years before moving to Dacusville in September 2010.  In July 2012, my family and I bought a 41 acre farm.

I have been in the real estate business since 1987, when at the age of 19, went to work for Ed Burgess Co., Inc.  The following year, 1988, I obtained my real estate license.  I worked in the real estate and building industry until May 1999.  During that period, I worked most of those years in one of the most popular, starter home subdivisions in Simpsonville, SC, as Administrative Assistant/Construction Coordinator.  After May 1999, I decided that staying at home with my children was most important at that time.  During the time that I was a stay-at-home mom, I assisted my mother, Judy Gilstrap, with many of her real estate clerical duties.  Since 2009, she was Executive Vice President/Principal/Broker, of Community First Real Estate, Easley, SC.  In 2012, when my mother made the decision to semi-retire, she approached me about taking over her real estate business and contracts.  I made the decision that it was time for me to return to the workforce.  I returned to the Wyatt Institute of Real Estate in March 2013, and I obtained my real estate license again on May 1, 2013.

I have a strong background in the real estate and building industry on many levels.  I use the skills that I have learned over the past 25+ years from being associated with the industry and education.  My greatest passion lies within the Westside of Greenville County and Pickens County.

Currently I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Greater Greenville Association of Realtors (GGAR) Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and Western Upstate Association of Realtors (WUAR) Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  I enjoy working with people and aiding them in buying, selling and finding value in real estate.  I am known for working hard for my clients and giving them the attention that they deserve.
